Dr. Cathleen Kowalski

Education

Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.

Graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1976, where she received the Award for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry, the Award for Excellence in Growth and Development and Orthodontics, and The American Society of Dentistry for Children Certificate of Merit.

Completed her post-graduate education at the University of Connecticut Health Center, and received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1977. Also completed post-graduate training in orthodontics from the United States Dental Institute in 1986.

Board certified with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in 1989, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry since 1989.



Personal/Experience

Dr. Kowalski was born and raised in Danbury, Connecticut and has lived and practiced pediatric dentistry in Manchester since 1978. Her son, Dan, graduated from Fairfield University. She enjoys walking, skiing, dancing, the theater, photography, and scrap booking.

Dr. Kowalski was co-founder of Pediatric Dental Associates in 1982. She also practiced at the Newington Children’s Hospital from 1980 to 1985.

Over the years, she has served on the Manchester Health Advisory Committee, as chairperson of Children’s Dental Health Month, the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Society of Dentistry for Children, the Joint Conference Committee and the Patient Care and Therapeutics Committee at Newington Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Kowalski has taught religious education at St. Bridget’s Church in Manchester and served as a member of the Board of Education at East Catholic High School from 2002-2007. She acts as Dental Consultant to many nursery and pre-schools in Manchester and surrounding towns.

She has hospital affiliations with Eastern Connecticut Health Network and the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentists, and the Manchester Dental Society.

From 2007 to 2012, Dr. Kowalski was selected by her colleagues as one of Connecticut’s top dentists as reported in Connecticut Magazine.

 


Dr. Glenn Koehler

Education

Dr. Glenn Koehler is a board certified pediatric dentist.

 

Graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. John's University in New York with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Pharmacy in 1979.

Graduated with Honors from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1983.

Elected to the RhoChi Society - National Honor Society of Pharmacy Graduates and the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honors Fraternity of Dental School Graduates.

Received residency training in pediatric dentistry in Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Koehler became certified in pediatric dentistry in 1985.

Dr. Koehler received post-graduate training in orthodontics from the United States Dental Institute and the International Association for Orthodontics.



Personal/Experience

Dr. Koehler has lived in Manchester, CT. since 1985 and enjoys its hometown feel and all the amenities of the "City of Village Charm". After practicing for 2 years in Unionville, CT. and Willimantic, CT., he joined the Pediatric Dental Associates in 1987.

He enjoys spending time at home with his wife Kathleen, their daughters Emily and Abbey and cats Boo and Lulu. Personal hobbies include skiing, hiking, walking, traveling, softball (both coaching and playing), biking, golfing and rooting for the N.Y. Mets and the Jets.

Over the years, Dr. Koehler has served on the boards of the Silk City Crimestoppers, the Lutz Children's Museum, the Manchester Dental Society, St. James School and Manchester Little League. He also participated in the Nutmeg Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Dr. Koehler is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Manchester Dental Society and is currently a member of the clinical faculty at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center Residency Program, where he teaches part-time.

Dr. Sharon Soria

Education

Dr. Sharon Soria is a board certified pediatric dentist. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from C.U.N.Y. HUnter College in 2000 and graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2004. She completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Connecticut and Connecticut Children's Medical Center.


Personal/Experience

Dr. Soria was born and raised in Ecuador, South America. She moved to the United States with her family at the age of 12 years old and lived in Queens, New York until she finished college. She has resided in Connecticut for the past 9 years, subsequently joining Pediatric Dental Associates in 2006. She enjoys spending her time with her husband Mario and their daughter, Mila, her family and friends. She is fluent in spanish and enjoys traveling, reading and dancing.

Dr. Soria is currently associated with the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Pediatric Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association and the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Soria has served as a volunteer for the University of Connecticut Dental Campaign to Peru, where she provided dental care and education to rural villages of the Peruvian Amazon.

From 2009 to 2012, her colleagues in dentistry also named her as one of the top pediatric dentists in Connecticut as reported in Connecticut Magazine.

 


Dr. Pradeepa Padmanabhan

Education

Dr. Pradeepa obtained her degree in Dental Surgery at the Vokkaligara Sangha Dental College and Hospital in Bangalore, India. In 2005 she obtained a Residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of CT in Farmington. Following her residency, she was offered a fellowship in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UCONN for three years ending in 2009.

With her interest in pediatric dentistry, she obtained a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the UCONN program offered at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center and graduated in June of 2011.

Dr. Pradeepa is a board-certified pediatric dentist.


Personal/Experience

Born and raised in Hyderabad, India, Dr. Pradeepa came to Connecticut in 2005, joining her husband Kannan Rengasamy, who is an oral and maxillofacial radiologist at the University of CT Health Center. They have a five-year-old son, Abishek.

Dr. Pradeepa also works as a clicnical instructor in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry a the UCONN School of Dental Medicine. As part of UCONN's faculty, she treats patients in the East Hartford Community Health Center.

When not doing dentistry, Dr. Pradeepa enjoys travelling and cooking. She also loves going on hikes with her son and husband . She especially enjoys spending time with her son with his school activities and Taekwando.

Dr. Pradeepa is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the CT Society of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the clinical faculty at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center Residency Program, where she teaches part-time.
